As a Fibromyalgia suffer with chronic muscle spasms for over twenty years, I understand the importance of physical activity.  Before discovering Fitfix, I tried many different types of exercise and fitness facilities.  In joining a large fitness club, I found there to be a lack of personal attention and that staff members were never particularly understanding of my needs relating to my condition.  After an initial assessment, there were never any follow-up procedures to ensure that my exercise regime was proper and beneficial.  As a result of this lack of attention, I, in fact, sustained a shoulder injury, lost interest in exercising, and allowed my membership to lapse.  Over the subsequent years, I tried yoga, and pilates, yet neither of these modalities or instructors offered any relevant solutions to ease my pain.  I had accepted the fact that I was destined to live the rest of my life with chronic pain.

     Ten months ago, I was intrigued with an advertisement Fitfix posted in a local publication.  Included in their list of services was “Fibromyalgia Rehabilitation.”  I was hesitant to call, as a result of my past experience with fitness programs.  However, after my initial consultation with Jonathan, a Fitfix instructor, I was impressed by his knowledge, compassion and commitment.  Unlike at other conventional fitness clubs, the instructors at Fitfix offer a unique perspective on physical training.  They make exercising fun, personal, challenging and enjoyable.  I look forward to attending my sessions twice a week and consider the staff members to be the utmost professionals.  Their care, constant encouragement and process of tailoring the program to fill my specific needs, has been the greatest asset to the improvement of my physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.  With the continuing support and help of Fitfix, I am confident that I finally will win the fight against Fibromyalgia.
