Jonathan Skelcher

Jonathan created the Fitfix concept of one-on-one studio personal training in the mid 90's while at the same time offering professional fitness services privately in clients' homes. He brings over 25 years of professional fitness counselling and management experience to the Fitfix team. Jonathan created the Fitfix concept as an alternative to other "no pain-no gain" training methods and to allow clients to comfortably meet short, mid and long-term fitness goals in a non-judgmental environment. With Fitfix well established at its permanent Yonge and Eglinton location, Jonathan spends time developing new fitness programs while training Fitfix members and enhancing the company's health and wellness offerings. While educating clients on healthy lifestyles and exercises, he continually educates himself on trends, techniques and developments in health and wellness which in turn provide Fitfix members with the most up-to-date information.
In his leisure time Jonathan enjoys mountain bike racing/coaching, alpine skiing, snowboarding, camping and canoeing.
Matthew Saks
After graduating from York University in 2007 with a BA in Psychology, Matthew decided to follow his passion for helping people with an alternative approach: by going to Humber College to learn to be a personal trainer and fitness instructor. His commitment to study and academic excellence resulted in winning two awards after his first semester, and his commitment to community involvement won him another after his third semester. He has played ice hockey since he was 2 years old and enjoys other sports such as football, soccer and snowboarding. Matthew has both his Personal Trainer Specialist (PTS) and Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS) Certificates from Can-Fit-Pro and has been training clients since 2008 with much success. His greatest asset is his ability to listen to a client and help them define and achieve their fitness and health related goals.
