Treatment and Prevention of Osteoporosis

One myth about osteoporosis is that it affects women only.  Although women are more susceptible than men, due to menopause, 10-15% of men will suffer from this degenerative bone disease.  There are ways to slow down the degenerative effects of this disease.  Adequate calcium intake early in life is one of the most important factors in developing strong bones.  Another way of maintaining and improving your bone density is by participating in various forms of exercise. Weight bearing, such as walking, and muscle conditioning exercises further strengthen your muscles and bones.

At Fitfix, we guide you on how to improve your bone density status.  By following our workout programs, you will be better able to sustain the integrity of your bone structures.   An exercise program will increase your ability to sustain an active life, as well as increase your general sense of well being.
